💨 Abstract
A federal grand jury in Minnesota indicted Vance Boelter on murder, stalking, and firearms charges after he allegedly shot and killed former House Speaker Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and attempted to kill state senators Hoffman and his wife on June 14, 2025. Boelter, who allegedly disguised himself as a police officer, targeted Democratic officials and was captured 40 hours later. The case may face federal death penalty charges.
