💨 Abstract
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has decided to reconsider the location for a new gas power plant in Tennessee after public opposition, led by country musician John Rich and other local residents. Concerns included environmental impact and safety near homes and schools. Environmental groups and Rich, with apparent support from President Trump, protested the initial site. TVA is now exploring alternative locations and options, including extending the use of fossil fuel plants.
