💨 Abstract

Whitney Purvis, 33, featured on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant,” was arrested in Rome, Georgia, for involuntary manslaughter related to fentanyl poisoning. Purvis allegedly provided John Mark Harris with a lethal mixture of xylazine and fentanyl, known as “Tranq,” resulting in his overdose death in February. The DEA and local officers are actively investigating the case, highlighting the high fatality risk of synthetic opioids like fentanyl.
