💨 Abstract
Attorney General Brenna Bird has decided to withdraw a lawsuit against Winneshiek County Sheriff Dan Marx. The lawsuit was over Marx's social media post, which expressed concerns about compliance with federal immigration detainers. Despite deleting the post and complying with all detainer requests, Marx faced legal action. After a public show of support for Marx, Bird dropped the lawsuit, stating that the county now fully complies with federal immigration laws.
