💨 Abstract
Brad Spafford, a Virginia resident, pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing unregistered weapons and explosives, including 150 pipe bombs. Authorities discovered his stockpile, the largest in FBI history, after an informant revealed he used then-President Joe Biden's photo for target practice and discussed political assassinations. Spafford faces up to 20 years in prison. Investigators found explosives in his home's freezer and an unsecured backpack.
