💨 Abstract
A federal judge, who previously blocked a policy by U.S. President Donald Trump to end birthright citizenship, debated the scope of his nation-wide injunction after the Supreme Court restricted the ability of lower courts to issue broad rulings. On Friday, Judge Leo Sorokin considered whether to maintain his previous ruling against Trump’s executive order, which bars the federal government from issuing citizenship documents to children born in the U.S. to unauthorized or temporarily legal immigrants.
