💨 Abstract
A Massachusetts man was sentenced to 26 months in prison for attempting to stab a flight attendant and tamper with an aircraft's emergency door during a 2023 cross-country flight. Francisco Severo Torres, now sentenced to the time he has already served, also received a five-year supervised release term, during which he is barred from flying commercially. During the incident, Torres underwent an violent mid-air rant and was subdued by fellow passengers.
