💨 Abstract
The NFL season began with the Hall of Fame game, following a shooting at league headquarters in New York that killed four and injured one employee. Commissioner Roger Goodell reported that the injured employee was improving. Security was heightened for the induction of Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Antonio Gates, and Sterling Sharpe. The suspected gunman, Shane Tamura, had a history of mental illness and a grievance against the NFL over a CTE claim.
