💨 Abstract
The NFL is expected to announce a multibillion-dollar agreement next week where most of its media holdings will be transferred to ESPN. The deal would give the NFL an equity stake in ESPN and comes as ESPN prepares to launch a new direct-to-consumer service. This service will cost $29.99 per month for cord-cutters but will be free for most cable, satellite, and streaming subscribers.
