đź’¨ Abstract
Investigative hearings on a January 2025 midair collision over Washington began, aiming to shed light on the crash between a passenger plane and an Army helicopter that killed 67 people. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will scrutinize the roles of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Army. Prior investigations revealed FAA's oversight of numerous near misses and the Army's use of helicopters without key safety equipment.
