He was part of the cartel’s “Chapitos” faction, which shipped fentanyl to the U.S. Ovidio faced charges in Chicago for drug and firearms offenses. The decision comes after an October hearing where a plea deal was discussed. His brother, Joaquin, and another Sinaloa leader, Ismael Zambada, were also arrested and face similar charges.
