An Afghan refugee, Abdul Rahman Waziri, was fatally shot over a parking dispute on April 27, 2025. The alleged shooter, Katia Trevon Bougere, was released after identifying himself to police and was indicted on a murder charge on July 28. Waziri's brother, Abdullah Khan, expressed frustration over the delayed indictment. Waziri had worked with U.S.
