đź’¨ Abstract
On July 29, 2025, a gunman named Shane Tamura entered a Manhattan office building and fatally shot four people, including a NYPD officer, before taking his own life. The building also houses the NFL headquarters. Investigators believe Tamura, who had a history of mental illness, intended to target the NFL due to an unsubstantiated claim of suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). They discovered magazines, ammunition, and medication in his car.
