💨 Abstract
On July 29, 2025, Shane Tamura, a man with a documented mental history, killed four people, including an off-duty NYPD police officer, at a Manhattan office building. Tamura, from Las Vegas, targeted the NFL's headquarters due to an unfounded belief he had CTE from playing football. He mistakenly entered the wrong elevator and shot people on multiple floors. Tamura then took his own life.
