đź’¨ Abstract

Since President Trump's second term began, statisticians, demographers, and computer scientists have united to preserve and share U.S. government data sets, fearing that altered or disappeared data could hinder democratic decision-making. Key data on topics like gender, climate change, and health have been modified or made inaccessible. Groups like dataindex.us and the Data Rescue Project have formed to monitor and back up crucial data, often clandestinely.
