💨 Abstract
On July 11, 2025, wildfires forced the evacuation of visitors and staff from Gunnison National Park and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Both blazes, fueled by hot, dry conditions and high winds, have shown no containment. The fire in Gunnison has burned 2.5 square miles, while the one at the Grand Canyon has affected 1.5 square miles, starting after a thunderstorm on Wednesday.
