💨 Abstract

Andrew Pogosyan, a 68-year-old Russian-born U.S. citizen in Madison, pleaded guilty to smuggling lab equipment to Russian companies, violating U.S. sanctions imposed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Pogosyan, through his company Omega Diagnostics LLC, shipped lab equipment to Russia, bypassing sanctions by routing shipments through third-party countries. His actions involved sending machinery to a Russian company involved in chemical research for the military.
