💨 Abstract
Violent clashes erupted in Serbia between government supporters and protesters, which numbers are monthly occurring since November 2024. The protests, led by students, started after a fatal train station collapse in Novi Sad highlighted alleged corruption. They have been demanding early elections and the resignation of the Interior Minister. The government may try to induce violence, as clashes have been reported in several cities. President Vucic, known his authoritarian tendencies, maintains ties with Russia and China amidst his EU membership bid.
