💨 Abstract

In response to record-breaking summer temperatures and a severe water crisis, Iranian authorities have mandated the closure of government offices and banks to conserve electricity and water. Temperatures in Tehran surpassed 40°C (104°F), prompting officials to urge residents to minimize outdoor activities and water usage. Iran's power grid faces significant deficits due to years of sanctions, infrastructure inadequacies, and limited capacity from its sole nuclear power plant.
