💨 Abstract
A federal judge in Arkansas blocked a new state law from requiring public school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments. The injunction covers 4 districts and prevents implementation pending a review. Judge Timothy L. Brooks cited previous Supreme Court rulings that deem such displays unconstitutional. He pointed to a coordinated effort among several states to inject Christian religious doctrine into public schools. Plaintiffs appeared before court as families challenging Arkansas' directive.
