💨 Abstract
Michael Reese, a convicted rapist on probation, pleaded guilty to murdering Joyce Grayson, a visiting nurse, at a halfway house in Connecticut. Grayson was administering medication to Reese when he killed her. Reese was sentenced to 50 years in prison with no possibility of early release or parole. Grayson's family, who called the loss devastating, hopes her death will inspire better protections for home health care workers and stricter monitoring of violent offenders.
