💨 Abstract
New Mexico State University settled a wrongful termination lawsuit with former men's basketball coach Greg Heiar. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed. Heiar was fired in 2023 following hazing allegations and claims of sexual assault involving team members. Heiar maintained he was made a scapegoat. He spent the following season coaching at Trinity Valley Community College, where he won a national championship.
