💨 Abstract
Joey Aguilar has been named the starting quarterback for the No. 24 Tennessee Volunteers for their season opener. Aguilar, who had productive seasons at Appalachian State and briefly transferred to UCLA, was chosen over Jake Merklinger and freshman George MacIntyre. Aguilar will lead Tennessee in their Aug. 30 opener against Syracuse at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
