💨 Abstract
Many Americans suffer from chronic sleep deprivation, leading to numerous health issues. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that 1 in 3 adults doesn't get enough sleep, attributed partly to environmental noise. White noise, a consistent, static-like sound, can help by masking disruptive noises and promoting better sleep. While the scientific evidence is mixed, many find it beneficial. However, it's important to use it safely, avoiding high volumes, and consider other sleep hygiene practices.
