💨 Abstract
On May 25, 2025, Venezuela is set to renew its National Assembly with an increased number of seats. The assembly will grow from 277 to 285 deputies, including eight new seats representing the disputed Guayana Esequiba region, despite a ruling from the International Court of Justice against holding elections there. The ruling party, led by Nicolás Maduro, retains a majority due to the opposition's boycott of the 2020 election.
