💨 Abstract
As World Pride approaches in Washington D.C., attendees, many of whom belong to intersecting marginalized communities, prepare to celebrate while addressing challenges posed by anti-immigrant policies, racism, and anti-LGBTQ sentiments. Kenya Hutton, a Black gay man and child of immigrants, represents the multifaceted identities of many attendees. Events will blend celebrations with political activism and strategies for survival in a hostile climate.
