💨 Abstract

Mexico and the U.S. have agreed to gradually resume Mexican cattle exports following a screwworm outbreak. Monthly evaluations will ensure health standards. The USDA plans to invest $21 million in Chiapas to produce sterile screwworm flies. Import restrictions remain, but evaluations occur every 30 days. Mexico reported six human screwworm cases, with five recovered and one hospitalized.
