💨 Abstract
PDVSA responded to the U.S. government's termination of Chevron's license to operate in Venezuela, stating that they do not rely on such licenses to boost the country's energy sector and economy. The license, which expired on May 28, 2025, was originally issued in 2022 by the Joe Biden administration to encourage negotiations between the Venezuelan opposition and government.
