💨 Abstract

In a controversial move last month, Ukraine released and sent dozens of its citizens to Russia in an exchange to free Ukrainian civilians illegally detained in Russian prisons. The exchange, involving 1,000 prisoners from each side, included 70 Ukrainian civilians condemned for collaborating with Russia. However, human rights activists criticize the program, "Quiero ir a mi casa," arguing it risks further endangerment and conflicts with international law.
