💨 Abstract
Greta Thunberg, the 22-year-old climate activist, departed Israel for Sweden via France after being detained with other activists on a Gaza-bound aid ship. At least five of her companions, including a European Parliament member, refused voluntary deportation and will be deported. Israel intercepted the ship, accusing it of attempting to break the Gaza blockade. Human rights groups and the UN have criticized the blockade and the aid distribution methods in Gaza.
