💨 Abstract
The Vera C. Rubin Observatory has released initial test images capturing light from millions of distant stars and galaxies, revealing over 2,000 previously unknown asteroids, including seven near-Earth asteroids. Funded by the NSF and the Department of Energy, the observatory aims to explore the universe's mysteries over a decade. Its advanced design allows it to detect faint, small objects like asteroides.
