💨 Abstract

The Senate of Colombia has approved a labor reform with 57 votes in favor and 31 against. The reform, which includes key articles on night shift pay and the workday for domestic workers, now moves to reconciliation with the House of Representatives. Despite its approval, political analyst Pedro Viveros argues it’s not a win for President Gustavo Petro, who lost the chance to be seen as the primary driver of the reform due to unrealistic demands.
