💨 Abstract

Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico disagreed with the U.S. Supreme Court’s dismissal of Mexico's lawsuit against U.S. gun manufacturers, which held them accountable for border violence. She noted that another lawsuit against distributors remains in progress. Despite the setback, Sheinbaum highlighted ongoing cooperation with the U.S. government to reduce arms trafficking. The lawsuit, filed under the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, alleged that manufacturers aided illegal arms transfers.
