💨 Abstract
On June 30, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum reinstating policies from his first term on Cuba. Key points include banning U.S. tourism to Cuba, enforcing an economic embargo, and eliminating economic practices that benefit the Cuban government or its military and security agencies. The memorandum also aims to expand internet access, promote free press, enterprise, and association in Cuba. Exceptions will be made for transactions supporting U.S.
