💨 Abstract
In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, mail-in voting remained popular, with about 30% of voters using this method. Early in-person voting and ballot drop boxes also saw increased use, despite Republican efforts to curtail these methods. Turnout was 158 million, with a 3-point decrease from 2020 but a nearly 4-point increase from 2016.
