đź’¨ Abstract
A federal appeals court has allowed President Donald Trump to maintain control over thousands of California National Guard members. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted Trump's request to temporarily pause a lower court's ruling that ordered him to relinquish control of approximately 4,000 guards. The court supported Trump's authority under federal law to federalize the guards to enhance security in Los Angeles amid migration law enforcement instability. Governor Gavin Newsom's arguments were rejected.
