💨 Abstract
A new study published in JAMA suggests that the amount of time children spend on screens is less concerning than the risk of addiction. The study, involving over 4,000 American children, found that excessive screen use that interferes with responsibilities can lead to mental health issues, including suicidal behaviors. Nearly half of the participants showed a high tendency toward mobile phone addiction, and over 40% to video game addiction.
