💨 Abstract

The Medicare Part B giveback benefit allows some Medicare Advantage plans to reduce or eliminate the monthly Medicare Part B premium. In 2025, 32% of such plans offer this benefit, varying from minimal to over $100 reductions. This benefit comes from rebates insurers receive when they bid below CMS-set benchmarks. While appealing, it may come with higher out-of-pocket costs, limited provider networks, or delayed benefits.
