💨 Abstract
Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to split into two publicly traded companies. The first, "Streaming & Studios," led by David Zaslav, will focus on HBO Max and Warner Bros. The second, "Global Networks," led by Gunnar Wiedenfels, will include CNN and other television networks. This move, set to take effect in 2026, aims to provide each company with greater flexibility and strategic focus, responding to investor pressure and industry shifts towards streaming.
