Brown & Brown Inc. (BRO) reported second-quarter earnings of $231 million, exceeding Wall Street estimates. The insurance company had a profit of 78 cents per share, with adjusted earnings of $1.03 per share. Revenue was $1.29 billion, also surpassing forecasts. Shares have increased by 0.5% since the start of the year and rose over 3% in the last 12 months.
