💨 Abstract

Japan faces its most severe post-war security environment with heightened military activities from China, Russia, and North Korea, according to the country's Defense Minister. The annual defense report highlights China's expanding military capabilities and actions near the Senkaku Islands (known as Diaoyu in China), Taiwan, and the South China Sea as significant threats. Additionally, Japan views increased joint military operations by China and Russia, as well as North Korea's nuclear and missile developments, as immediate dangers.
