💨 Abstract

Syria and Israel have agreed to a ceasefire, as announced by the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, Tom Barrack. The agreement has been welcomed by neighboring countries, and Barrack called for various minority groups to lay down their arms and build a united Syrian identity. The ceasefire follows Israeli airstrikes on Syria, aimed at protecting the Druze minority. Recent clashes between pro-government forces and Druze have resulted in numerous fatalities.
