💨 Abstract
A study published in the "Journal of the Human Development and Capabilities" suggests that parents should avoid giving smartphones to children under 13. The research, based on self-reported data from nearly 2 million people in 163 countries, links early smartphone use to mental health issues such as suicidal thoughts, poor emotional regulation, low self-esteem, and detachment from reality, particularly in girls.
