💨 Abstract
In July 2025, Microsoft announced another round of layoffs, affecting 9,000 employees, which amounts to about 4% of its workforce. This is the third round in recent months and the largest since 2023. The redundancies are part of ongoing organizational changes and increased AI adoption, which is making parts of the workforce more redundant.
