💨 Abstract
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem referred to Kilmar Ábrego García as a "monster" during a press conference in Nashville. García was erroneously deported and imprisoned in El Salvador earlier this year. He is now in Tennessee, facing federal human trafficking charges. Noem emphasized García's alleged ties to criminal gangs and trafficking. A judge will decide next week if he can be released pending trial, possibly leading to deportation proceedings.
