💨 Abstract
On July 29, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to raise tariffs on Indian imports to 25% if a long-sought trade deal is not completed. The U.S. Trade Representative, Jamieson Greer, indicated that further negotiations are required to open India's market. Trump has consistently demanded that trade partners open closed markets to U.S. goods.
