💨 Abstract
At the Barbadillo prison in Lima, just 40 minutes from the Presidential Palace, four former Peruvian presidents— Alejandro Toledo, Ollanta Humala, Pedro Castillo, and, since August 14, 2025, Martín Vizcarra— are currently detained. They are facing various corruption charges. Vizcarra, accused of bribery and claims "political persecution." Vizcarra denies the charges and requests the freedom.
