💨 Abstract
Columbia Sportswear has sued Columbia University for alleged trademark infringement, claiming that the university's apparel resembles their own merchandise too closely. The lawsuit, filed in Oregon, alleges that Columbia University violated a 2023 agreement by selling garments featuring only the word "Columbia" without recognizable school insignias or other distinguishing features. The outdoor retailer seeks to halt the sales of these items and seeks damages.
