Carlos Treviño Medina, former director of Pemex (2017-2018), has been detained in the U.S. and will be deported to Mexico to face corruption charges, including bribes related to the Odebrecht case. President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed his arrest and involvement in the scandal linked to ex-director Emilio Lozoya, who is also accused of receiving bribes from Odebrecht.
