💨 Abstract

President Donald Trump threatens to impose additional tariffs on India and increase tariffs on other countries purchasing Russian oil as a measure to pressure Moscow to end the war in Ukraine. Despite sanctions, significant trade continues between Russia and the US and Europe. India defended its oil and gas trade with Russia, viewing the threatened tariffs as unjustified. Fertilizers, paladio, uranium/plutonium, and oil/gas remain key imports from Russia for the US and EU.
